Mojave Desert based.

Beginning in 2002 with a  Nikon FA (manufactured in 1980) until 2008; hand cutting, rolling, and making Black and White prints in a college photo-lab was the process. Seeking out options in the world of photography, at the time, some major shifts in the world of digital photography were coming to fruition and the age of social media was getting off the ground.

Originally specializing in high contrast, frame-less prints on Kodak T-Max or high-grain street photography on some low-speed Ilford 35mm, the age of film (especially hand-rolled and cut film) was coming to an end.

By 2010 traditional film became increasingly more difficult and expensive to purchase and print, thusly the camera became another object gathering dust in storage.

After nearly 20 years of experience working in the lighting/camera department for Film, Television, Commercials and Music Videos – 15+ years of that time has been vested in an IATSE Union – a shift in personal and professional focus during the lockdowns of 2020 stirred up a desire to return to photography.

Concert and Wildlife/Landscape Photography are the two most frequent of subjects, without exception.

The ability to experience both the sensory explosion of being at a (good) live concert, to then also be in the not-so-silent serenity of nature is an dichotomy in life not to be ignored. This is very representative of what we are and can experience as creatures in the modern world.

When not photographing concerts or the outdoors, work has been done for both special events (things like stand-up, burlesque, conventions and wrestling) as well as advertisement sessions for local businesses, with an emphasis on social media and website galleries.

Commercials and music videos have also been something that is becoming a more regular occurrence, putting together the decades of work in film and television to produce things as a one-person operation when needed.
